Your files
CSV and HTML files you open, drop or paste are read by your browser on your device. They are not uploaded, sent to a server, put in the page address, or saved in browser storage. When you close the tab, they're gone.
No tracking
This site has no analytics, ads, session recording, error-reporting services, or third-party fonts or images. This site sets no cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile may use its own cookies or browser storage for the spam check when you sign up. Our Content Security Policy only lets the page send your waitlist signup to this site and load Cloudflare Turnstile, the spam check described below. It blocks every other network connection.
Pro waitlist
If you join the Pro waitlist, here is what we collect:
- Your email address. Stored so we can send you one email when CSV Viewer Pro launches. We also store the date and time you signed up, a record of your consent (when you agreed and which version of the wording), and a random unsubscribe code. We only keep a one-way hash (SHA-256) of that code, never the code itself.
- Your feature interests (optional). If you tick any “I'm interested in” boxes, we store which ones, as fixed option codes. There is no free-text field. We use them only to decide what to build first.
- Your IP address, for spam protection. We never store your IP address in our database or logs. To limit repeated signups and unsubscribe requests, we turn it into a salted, keyed hash (HMAC) that can't be turned back into your IP, and keep that code with a request count for the current 10-minute window in our database. These counters are not linked to your email and are deleted automatically within about an hour.
- Cloudflare Turnstile. The signup form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you're not a bot. Turnstile runs in your browser, and when you submit, our server sends the Turnstile result and your IP address to Cloudflare's verification service (siteverify) to check it. Cloudflare's own privacy policy applies to that check. We don't store the result.
- Why we collect it: only to tell you when Pro launches and to understand which Pro features matter most. We don't sell or share your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
- Not collected: no CSV or HTML you open here, no name and no payment details. We don't store browser details; Cloudflare Turnstile checks some when you sign up (see above).
- How long we keep it: 8 weeks (56 days) from the day you sign up. After that, your entry is deleted automatically.
- Unsubscribe: write to support@csvlocal.com at any time, and any email we send will include an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing deletes your entry straight away; we don't keep a copy.
- Deletion on request: you can ask us to delete your entry at any time, even without an email from us, by writing to support@csvlocal.com.

Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data (such as IP address) to deliver pages.
Our host, Cloudflare, may add its analytics script to pages. Our Content Security Policy blocks it, so it never runs and no analytics data is collected.
